Accessibility
Our commitment to an accessible online shop per BFSG & EAA.
Delvina – a brand of DRINI GmbH – strives to make its website accessible in accordance with national and European legislation, namely the Barrier-Free Access Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA). In terms of technical implementation, we also adhere to the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA).
This accessibility statement applies to our online shop at delvina.eu.
1. How to use our online shop
Our online shop is for the electronic sale of dietary supplements. The website presents our products with detailed descriptions, images and prices. Users can browse the product range via the navigation menus in the header and footer, add products to an electronic shopping cart, and finally place a binding order and make payment. The footer also contains further information such as contact details, imprint, legal basis, and details on shipping and payment options.
2. How our online shop meets accessibility requirements
In designing and continuously optimising our online shop, we have already taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Scalability and Responsive Design: Our shop automatically adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels, ensuring optimal display of content on desktop PCs, tablets, and smartphones.
- Adjustable Font Sizes: Users can flexibly adjust the font size via browser settings without losing or overlapping content.
- Structure and Navigation: Pages are logically structured. All essential interactive elements can be operated via keyboard. A focus indicator shows which element is currently selected.
- Product Information: On all product pages, all relevant information is provided in both images and text (product name, price, description), ensuring that no information is conveyed exclusively visually.
- Forms and Interactions: Form fields in the shopping cart and checkout process are clearly labelled. Error messages for incomplete or incorrect entries are provided and inform the user which fields still need to be filled in.
- Structured Data (Schema.org): Products, reviews, and FAQ content are marked up with Schema.org to optimally support assistive technologies.
3. Non-accessible content (incompatibilities and exceptions)
Due to the incompatibilities listed below, the online shop is partially not compliant with the BFSG and WCAG 2.1 AA. We are aware that there are still deficiencies in the following areas:
- Colour Contrasts: The contrast between text and background on some subpages falls below the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements, which may limit readability for users with visual impairments. This is being continuously adjusted as part of our ongoing design process.
- Alternative Texts (Alt-Texts): Not all relevant images and graphics are provided with meaningful alternative texts. Full supplementation will be carried out gradually.
- Keyboard Focus and Pop-ups: Certain interactive elements, such as special pop-up windows, may not yet be fully operable via keyboard. We are working on continuous optimisation.
- PDF Documents: Some older documents may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all new documents are created compliantly and older ones are gradually adapted.
We are actively working to address these incompatibilities.
